Beggs Park Dock

Project outcome: The dock at Beggs Park has begun to show noticeable deterioration in the past few years. Attempts have been made to maintain the outside of the dock with replaced 8×8 hemlocks provided by local volunteers. These patchwork attempts have helped, but we are now seeing considerable interior deterioration. Now that the water treatment plant is completed, town officials can now begin to focus efforts on determining how best to tackle repair or replacement of this important Town infrastructure.

September 28, 2026 - Supervisor Hughes and two interested local citizens met with Green Mountain Marine Services on September 3 and Dock Doctors on September 15 to review the scope of work. Both organizations stated that they would consider providing an estimate and professional recommendation. This estimate will then be used to help Town officials determine how best to proceed with allocating funding for this project.

Cost: Full replacement could cost between $300,000 and $500,000
