  • Dateline: April 17, 2024 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids are sought by the TOWN OF ESSEX, to construct a “Welcome Kiosk” and provide paving for accessibility and structural support to be located at the south side of the entrance to the parking lot across from the Essex ferry landing in Essex, New York. Copies of elevations, sections and details may be obtained from the Town Hall or by visiting https://essexnewyork.com/welcome-kiosk

    Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Town of Essex, PO Box 355, Essex, NY 12936 on or before May 9th 2024.  Bids must arrive in our office no later than 3:00 P.M.  The bids will be publicly opened and discussed on May 9th at 6:30 P.M.  Bids may be awarded at that time or at a subsequent Town Board meeting. If you have questions about the project, please call 518-963-4287 ext 4 to speak with Town Supervisor Ken Hughes.

  • Dateline: April 15, 2024 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids are sought by the TOWN OF ESSEX, to provide minor repairs and complete sanding and refinishing of the wood flooring of the main hall and of the entry area of the Whallonsburg Grange Hall located at 1610 NYS Route 22 in Essex, New York. The Town requests that all bids include the use of Bona Traffic HD Floor Finish. The execution of the project by the winning bidder can commence no earlier than August 20th and must be fully completed by September 7th in order to accommodate for Grange Hall events.

     Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Town of Essex, PO Box 355, Essex, NY 12936 on or before May 9th 2024.  Bids must arrive in our office no later than 3:00 P.M.  The bids will be publicly opened and discussed on May 9th at 6:30 P.M.  Bids may be awarded at that time or at a subsequent Town Board meeting.   • Dateline: April 12, 2024 - The Town of Essex is accepting bids for the following surplussed items:

    • LOT 1 - 2 interior pre-painted solid core doors, 32”x80”, includes side jambs and head casing

    • COMPLETED BIDS must be dropped of to Essex Town Hall, 2313 Main Street in Essex by 3:30pm on May 9, 2024. Bids do not need to be sealed, but they must indicate the lot number being bid on, the amount of the bid for that particular lot number, and the name, phone number and mailing address of the bidder. Failure to abide by these directions could render a bid invalid. Items are available for inspection during regular Town Hall hours and are located on the 2nd floor of Town Hall.
