The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM Supervisor Jackson led us in the Pledge to the Flag. Supervisor Jackson asked for a moment of silence for Mike Kempster. Janis Goff On roll call Board members present were Councilwoman LaPine, Councilman Visitors at the meeting were Robert Hamilton, Jane Perry and Janice Moran. Supervisor Motion to approve 10/9/08 Regular Board minutes with correction was made by Councilwoman LaPine. Seconded by Councilman LaForest. Roll call: Councilwoman Motion to approve 10/15/08 Emergency Board meeting made by Councilman LaForest. Seconded by Councilwoman LaPine. Roll call: Councilwoman LaPine-yes, Councilman Motion to approve 11/5/08 Budget Hearing made by Councilman Sayward. Seconded by Planning Board did not meet. The Budget Hearing is the last Monday of the month 11/24/08 at 6 PM at the Old Court House. The Union contract for the County employees was passed by the Board of Supervisors. Correspondence We have received our hydroheologic evaluation. The best location for drilling the wells is behind Claire LaPine’s then up behind the Fire House and on to Essex Farm. NYSAC time reporting regulations a requires Elected Officials to do a time study each A letter was sent to Susan Lawson who is now ready to seek bids for the Old Legion Hall Supervisor Jackson sent a letter to Senators Clinton and McHugh reminding them we The Town has received a copy of the Comptrollers report on Fire District #2. Selective Insurance has recommended that the driving records of Town employees Unfinished Business The new windows have been installed at the Town Shed. Supervisor Jackson hopes to have Griffith here next week to install the new furnace at the Town Shed. The installation Town clock ownership will need some more research and will be tabled until next month. Smith House request to plow the former fitness center was tabled until next month. Joan Stephan will discuss the issue of changing the Planning Board secretary New Business 2009 Preliminary Budget was discussed and a motion was made by Councilman 2009 fuel bids were opened by Supervisor Jackson. Griffith Oil bid Port of Albany Committee Meetings Water Meeting on the wells scheduled for December 2, 2008 at 6:30 PM at the Town Discussion of Bills General Fund $25,620.59 The cost of sidewalk repairs were discussed by the Town Board. Motion to accept Town Clerk’s Report as presented made by Councilman LaForest. Motion to accept Water Rents as presented made by Councilwoman LaPine. Seconded by Councilman LaForest.
